Eu não consigo imaginar Ouro Preto sem as suas igrejas seculares. A cada passo parece que seus fantasmas estão à mostra. A História é muito forte nas suas ruas calçadas. A presença do negro escravo está em cada portal. Eu não culpo a Igreja e sim os homens que a representaram naquela época. Porque nela também havia os homens de boa vontade que a História dos Dominadores rejeita veementemente registrar.
